FREQUENT QUESTIONS
WHY DOES TILLANDSIA NOT HAVE ROOTS?
Tillandsia is a plant that has been able to adapt to extreme conditions, learning over time to live without needing the soil below. In fact, its roots (not always present) have more than anything else the function of support and anchoring. Being an epiphytic species (that is, living on other plants), it develops around trees or other elements, natural or otherwise.
HOW MANY TIMES DOES TILLANDSIA GET WET?
Maintenance is very simple and takes little time. Spray 1/2 time a week, irrigate thoroughly for a few minutes with immersion 1/2 times a month, making sure that the whole surface of the plant is well wet, avoiding stagnation of water (green leaf tillandsias should be wetted more frequently). Use tap water: in the water these plants will find all the nutrients they need.
WHY IS TILLANDSIA CALLED "DAUGHTER OF THE WIND"?
Tillandsia is so called because it has no roots. A plant with "superpowers" that has the ability to collect all nutrients through the air.
